The Anchor Inn, Nayland is a charming Grade II listed riverside inn in the picturesque village of Nayland on the River Stour, with roots dating back to the early 19th century. Known for its seasonal, locally inspired food, inviting bar and warm hospitality, the property also offers a small number of comfortable guest rooms, making it a welcoming destination for both locals and visitors exploring the Stour Valley.

We are looking for a dynamic Assistant Manager to join our team. Working closely with the General Manager, we are seeking an experienced professional with a drive to meet and exceed financial expectations and a passion for delivering a great guest experience.

Job Requirements:
  • Lead and inspire the FOH and BOH team to achieve high standards of service.
  • Collaborate closely with other management within the property to ensure a seamless guest experience.
  • Lead guests through all aspects of an enjoyable restaurant/hotel experience.
  • Recruit, train, and develop team members, fostering a cohesive and high-performing team.
  • Wet stock management within the property.
  • Drive financial performance by meeting and surpassing financial expectations.
  • Cultivate a positive and motivated work environment, ensuring all team members perform to their best abilities.
  • Cash management.
