Join a Leading Ski Holiday Company – Reservations Role in a Fun, Friendly Team
Are you passionate about skiing, travel, and delivering high level customer service? Join one of the UK’s most established and trusted ski holiday specialists!
We are a leading ski chalet tour operator that runs ski holidays including flights and transfers to our 30+ chalets in the top French ski resorts. The company has been around since 1982, based in Huddersfield and we are one of the longest serving ski companies still trading today. We carry almost 5,000 people per winter, most of whom have travelled with us before, thanks to our excellent customer service.
Due to the retirement of a longstanding member of the small Reservations Team, we are seeking a new person to take holiday bookings from direct customers and specialist ski travel agents, based in our professional but fun, friendly office.
This role encompasses a multitude of functions:
Firstly, you would communicate with the customer when they initially enquire whether that be by phone or email or messaging service, providing advice on the best holiday for their needs and provide a quote.
If the quote results in a confirmed booking, there are then various administrative tasks to complete on the booking system and potentially follow-up communications with that or any other guest.
Once the guest returns from holiday, we then follow it up and send them a questionnaire to complete to ensure their complete satisfaction.
You would also be dealing with specialist ski travel agents where they deal with the client and you would just make the booking.
The role obviously requires very good product knowledge so full training will be given and travel will be required to the ski resorts to visit the properties and ski areas.
If you’re looking for a role where you can combine your love of customer service with a passion for the mountains, we’d love to hear from you!
Qualifications and education requirements
Min 7 GCSEs or O levels including English and Maths
Higher education qualification preferred but not essential
Preferred skills
Good phone manner
Excellent communication skills
Computer competency (e.g. MS Office)
Knowledge of the ski business advantageous
Additional notes
The role can be flexible in that it can be full time in the autumn, winter and spring when we are at our busiest, but part time during the summer when we are quieter. So the position could be ideal for a parent that requires more time off during school holidays, for example. Although knowledge of the travel industry is essential, ski knowledge would be advantageous. We are looking to start the new candidate ideally in September.
