Reporting To: Group Legal Director, with a dotted line to the Group Legal Counsel responsible for Compliance in Le Creuset

Main Purpose of the Role

Support various members of the Group Legal team on legal tasks, with a focus on compliance topics, but also providing support to the Le Creuset subsidiaries and Head Office on other areas of law, including day-to-day commercial activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive legal research (with a focus on global compliance topics) using various resources, such as legal databases, statutes, regulations, and case law, on topics such as: general compliance, anti-corruption, whistleblowing, packaging labelling, supply chain regulations, sanctions, and ESG regulations.
  • Summarise findings of research and provide Legal team members with relevant information.
  • Assist the Legal team with preparation and rollout of various legal training, as well as the monitoring and following up on the uptake of the training.
  • Draft and prepare legal documents, including: contracts, briefs, and other legal correspondences, upon the request of the Le Creuset business or other members of the Group Legal team.
  • Review of legal contracts and provision of summaries to the business and Legal team members.
  • Draft correspondences with business stakeholders.
  • Able to work with colleagues of the Group Legal Department who are scattered around the world, and able to work independently with the local or Group business function teams (quality, regulatory, sustainability, local markets).
  • Ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards in all activities.

Skills & Qualifications

  • After obtaining a law degree, possess at least 3 years of work experience at a law firm or in a business environment, in which you had experience in compliance or ESG matters. Application of candidates without previous work experience will not be considered.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, in English.
  • Strong ability to conduct research and summarise findings.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent responsiveness and autonomy.
  • Ability to work on tight deadlines.
