Main Purpose of Role
Middleware development and support of integrations between our applications and 3rd parties.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement complex integration solutions using middleware including Boomi that meet business requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyse integration requirements.
- Develop and maintain integration processes between various on-premise and cloud-based applications.
- Monitor and troubleshoot integration issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal impact on business operations.
- Optimise performance of integration processes to ensure efficient data flow and system performance.
- Create and maintain technical documentation for integration processes and solutions.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.
- Provide technical support and guidance to team members and stakeholders on integration-related matters.
- Stay updated with the latest Boomi features and industry trends to continuously improve integration solutions.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including planning, design, development, testing, and deployment.
- Develop and execute test plans to ensure the quality and reliability of integration solutions.
- Manage and maintain Boomi environments.
- Ensure data security and compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Perform root cause analysis on integration failures and implement corrective actions.
- Develop reusable components and frameworks to streamline integration development.

Regional IT Teams, Group IT, business team members, 3rd Party Partners.
Knowledge Required
This role could be filled by different skill and experience levels, either by an experienced Boomi Developer or by someone cross-training from another integration tool or even another IT discipline. All candidates who can demonstrate relevant experience, enthusiasm and potential will be considered. Salary commensurate.
Essential
- Experience in an IT role, working closely with a transactional ERP application – ideally D365 F&O and consumer goods/retail Order to Cash processes but other similar would be considered.
- Example backgrounds could be as a developer in a different technology or perhaps in an application support, business analysis or EDI role, but with a strong technical bias and exposure to technical understanding, for example through involvement in trouble-shooting or technical solution design.
- Knowledge of the development lifecycle.
- Knowledge of data types including XML, JSON, EDI.
Desirable
- 2+ years’ development experience using Boomi (or another major integration platform such as Mulesoft, Tibco, BizTalk etc) or workflow automation tools such as Power Automate.
- Experience in ERP integration, ideally with D365 F&O, for transactional and master data to/from other business applications.
- Understanding of networking and security principles.
- Knowledge of XSLT, Java Script or SQL.

- Excellent written and oral English language skills, easily able to work in English.
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic to learn and quick to grasp technical conceptual understanding but also able to work with accuracy at a detailed level.
Desirable
- REST, ODATA, SOAP
- JavaScript, Groovy, XSLT, SQL
- Messaging technology such as JMS/MQ
- Developer Certification of an integration technology
