The Recipe for Success: Role Summary

As the Translations Manager Europe, you are responsible for designing, optimizing, and governing the translation ecosystem that enables the business to communicate with clarity, consistency, and efficiency across all markets. You are part of the Commercial Marketing organization ensuring that all go-to-market activities are best in class, commercially relevant, and seamlessly implemented. You ensure that linguistic processes, tools, and technologies are modern, scalable, and aligned with the company’s premium brand positioning. Through a combination of strategic oversight and hands‑on execution, you drive continuous improvement of translation workflows, implement quality assurance measures, and champion the integration of advanced language technologies—including AI and machine translation—into daily operations. Your success is defined by your ability to collaborate seamlessly with internal stakeholders, country teams, and external partners, ensuring that all translated content meets the highest standards of accuracy, consistency, and brand integrity.

Ingredients: Key Responsibilities

  • Design and optimise internal cross‑functional workflows to ensure that translation requests, approvals, and deliveries move through the organisation with clarity, speed, and minimal friction.
  • Ensure that the translation solution is efficient, scalable, and commensurate with brand stature/quality.
  • Develop, implement, and evolve translation and terminology workflows, including the adoption of modern translation technologies, linguistic tool landscapes and external vendors.
  • Evaluate and recommend AI‑driven language models and machine translation engines within existing workflows.
  • Drive process automation initiatives and identify opportunities to streamline end-to-end translation operations.
  • Collaborate closely with country teams to understand local needs, align on priorities, and ensure seamless delivery of translated content.
  • Lead translation‑related projects with a hands‑on mentality, ensuring timely execution, clear communication, and effective stakeholder management.
  • Ensure that all translated campaign materials reflect a consumer‑centric tone of voice, adapting messaging to resonate authentically with local audiences while maintaining brand integrity.
  • Identify efficiencies and partner with account leads and other resources for implementation where appropriate.

The Perfect Blend: What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in linguistics, translation, localisation management, business administration, a related field or similar.
  • 3+ years of proven experience in translation management, localisation, or language operations, ideally within an international, multi‑channel environment.
  • Strong understanding of translation technologies, CAT tools, terminology management systems, and machine‑translation engines.
  • Demonstrated ability to optimise workflows and implement process automation.
  • Experience managing external vendors and cross‑functional stakeholders.
  • Excellent project management and communication skills.
  • High command of English and at least one other European language is required.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
