The Recipe for Success: Role Summary
As part of Le Creuset’s dynamic Supply Chain team, you’ll help bring our iconic cookware from concept to kitchen, ensuring every product arrives with precision, care, and a splash of colour. You’ll collaborate across departments and regions to manage inventory, streamline logistics, and support our commitment to quality and customer satisfaction. The Demand Planner supports the creation, analysis, and maintenance of demand forecasts for the UK & Ireland. Working closely with Sales, Marketing, Supply Planning, and Finance, the role ensures that forecast data is accurate, timely, and aligned with commercial plans. This role contributes to achieving optimal inventory levels, strong service performance, and effective S&OP processes.
Ingredients: Key Responsibilities
- Build 12m rolling forecast using historical data, trends, promotions, and customer insights.
- Lead category demand with a strong focus on maintaining optimal inventory levels and service performance.
- Monitor forecast accuracy and bias, highlighting variances and supporting improvement actions.
- Provide category demand inputs to Supply Planning to support replenishment and inventory decisions.
- Build accurate NPD forecasts and ensure new product demand is fully integrated into the overall planning process.
- Plan timely forecast on lifecycle changes, transitions, and phase-outs.
- Ensure product and forecast data is kept accurate and up to date with timely history cleansing.
- Use Logility and D365 to generate reports and analyse forecast performance.
- Support data integrity by identifying and correcting inconsistencies in planning systems.
- Prepare regular forecast summaries for the Demand Planning Manager and wider team.
- Contribute to improving reporting tools, templates, and analytical processes.
- Work with Sales and Marketing to incorporate promotional activity, launches, and market intelligence into the forecast.
- Participate in monthly demand review meeting, prepare category demand insights in collaboration with Sales and Marketing.
- Support alignment between financial forecasts and operational demand plans.
- Identify process gaps and implement best practices to enhance planning efficiency.
- Drive automation and digitalisation initiatives within demand planning.
