At Le Creuset, every dish begins with a story - and every story begins with people. Since 1925, we’ve brought generations together around the table, transforming everyday meals into cherished memories. Our legacy is built on colour, craft, and a deep passion for innovation - shaped as much by our iconic products as by the people who bring them to life. We’re not just creating cookware; we’re creating moments that last a lifetime. If you’re inspired by heritage, driven by creativity, and ready to shape the future of the kitchen, we’d love to welcome you into our story.
The Recipe for Success: Role Summary
We’re looking for a Master Chef of Numbers! Your role will be the secret ingredient that brings together the Finance kitchen and the Commercial dining room. You’ll whip up delicious insights by analysing the freshest trends in sales, marketing, and retail, helping our Commercial team serve up maximum sales and profit margins. You won’t just follow the recipe, you’ll taste, tweak, and challenge the flavours, adding your own creative seasoning with ideas, recommendations, and data‑driven analysis. If you love turning raw data into a five‑star dish of strategy, this is the role for you!
Ingredients: Key Responsibilities
What’s On Your Daily Menu
- Support the Commercial team with all the essentials: stock, sales, performance analysis, and data that’s fresh and ready to use.
- Slice and dice product, category, and promotion performance, spotting trends, risks, and opportunities to spice up sales across all channels.
- Be the central station for Wholesale, Retail, and Ecommerce forecasting: balancing inventory for new products and promotions like a seasoned chef. Monitor performance against forecasts and dish up reports for the Sales team.
- Keep an eye on the specials board: document marketplace activity for year‑on‑year comparisons and compile customer sales‑out data into a standard recipe for insight.
- Maintain price lists and create order forms for core products and promotional menus.
- Monitor all POS, sample, and marketing spend: serve up a monthly log and evaluation.
- Keep our recipe book organised: maintain customer terms, SDAs, pricing, and trading agreements.
- Take full responsibility for the SDA process.
- From time to time, add a pinch of flexibility by taking on other reasonable duties.
What’s On Your Seasonal Menu
- Keep our sales reports and forecasting tools simmering efficiently, and whip up new ones to challenge and elevate commercial decisions.
- Work hand‑in‑hand with our IT Data chefs to serve BI reporting across the UK business, ensuring nothing gets burnt when Qlikview closes.
- Collaborate with the Commercial Director to prepare budgeted sales by account and garnish the process with streamlined data for the Wholesale Accountant.
- Taste‑test marketing campaigns, identify what’s sizzling, and help Account Managers cook up commercially viable promotional proposals. Manage the approval process from prep to plating.
The Perfect Blend: What We’re Looking For
You’ll be a collaborative partner who fosters teamwork and mutual respect, demonstrating empathy and inclusion across all interactions. Resilience and adaptability are key, you’ll stay composed under pressure while delivering strategic, data‑driven insights that help us see the bigger picture. With a passion for continuous improvement, you’ll bring creativity to problem‑solving, leveraging digital tools and analytics to enhance processes and drive smarter decisions.
Your Flavour Profile (Behaviours & Traits)
We’re looking for someone results‑driven, customer‑focused, and committed to quality, someone who communicates transparently, upholds ethical standards, and values people at every level. If you thrive on turning complex data into clear, actionable insights and want to make a meaningful impact, we’d love to have you on our team.
Skills & Qualifications - Essential Ingredients
- A minimum of 2–5 years as a seasoned chef in the world of commercial analysis, ideally in a Finance, Retail, or FMCG kitchen, and preferably within an omni‑channel commercial organisation.
- A pinch of A Levels (or equivalent) in English and Maths, plus a dash of AAT/CIMA/ACCA or similar part qualification.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, your essential utensils for prepping and plating data.
- Knowledge of Power BI or other data visualisation tools to add flavour to your insights.
- Ability to juggle multiple dishes without burning any!
- Keep your kitchen spotless and your mise en place perfect.
- Serve up ideas clearly, both verbally and in writing.
- When the recipe goes wrong, you know how to fix it.
- Turn complex data into a beautifully plated, easy‑to‑digest dish.
- Respond quickly to critical pricing questions, because timing is everything in the kitchen.
Other Requirements
Sometimes, you’ll need to take your culinary skills on the road. This role may involve a tasting tour across the UK and occasionally abroad, with overnight stays on the menu. To keep the journey smooth, a full, clean UK driving licence is one of the essential ingredients.
