The Role

This is a key position within a busy and fast‐moving container operation. The successful candidate will be responsible for the effective planning and execution of container movements from London Gateway, ensuring operational efficiency, legal compliance, and outstanding customer service. Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate container collections and deliveries from London Gateway.
  • Manage daily and forward planning for a fleet of HGV drivers.
  • Maximise vehicle and driver utilisation while maintaining compliance.
  • Liaise with drivers, customers, ports, and shipping lines.
  • Manage and monitor drivers' hours, WTD, and legal requirements.
  • Respond effectively to port delays, vessel changes, and operational challenges.
  • Use transport management systems (TMS) to plan, track, and update movements.
  • Maintain high service levels and support continuous operational improvement.
