Are you passionate about how people learn? Do you want to do more than create slides and tick boxes? We’re looking for someone who gets excited about designing experiences that genuinely help people grow. If that sounds like you, read on.
LDN Apprenticeships is a highly rated by Ofsted and B Corp-certified organisation with a straightforward mission: “We deliver skills programmes that build the capability of our learners and drive measurable, sustainable growth for our customers”. Our Digital Learning Design team is central to that work, building online learning that is genuinely good, not just compliant. This role is a real opportunity to develop your career in learning design, with the support of experienced colleagues who want to see you succeed. You’ll be working on live projects from day one and contributing ideas, not just executing tasks.
The role involves joining the Digital Learning Design team as a Junior Learning Designer, working on the design and development of online learning experiences across a range of programmes and audiences. The role is predominantly remote, with at least one day a month at our South London office near Vauxhall/Stockwell. You’ll be supported and mentored as you settle in, but this isn’t a passive role. We want someone with curiosity and initiative, someone who asks questions, spots what could be better, and has the drive to do something about it.
What you’ll do:
- Design and build interactive e-learning modules using Articulate 360 and other digital content creation tools.
- Work with subject matter experts to turn complex content into clear, engaging learning experiences.
- Get involved in the full digital learning design process as needed.
- Keep existing digital learning content fresh, accurate and on brand.
- Support content queries from the wider team and day-to-day management of our Learning Management System (Thinkific).
- Work closely with colleagues across the business to make sure learning solutions actually land with the people they’re made for.
- Share your ideas. We’re always open to new thinking on how to make the learner experience better.
- Use AI tools to support content creation, while applying your own judgement and quality checks.
Who we’re looking for:
- Some real experience of creating digital learning, content design, or a related field. It doesn’t have to be corporate; freelance, voluntary or academic work all counts.
- Passion for education and creating engaging learning experiences.
- A grounding in learning design theory and practice is a bonus.
- Practical experience with Articulate Storyline and/or Rise, or a comparable authoring tool and a genuine eagerness to pick up new ones.
- A learner‑centred mindset. You think about who you’re designing for, and you’re always asking whether there’s a clearer or more engaging way to communicate something.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build working relationships across a team, including with people who know their subject but not necessarily learning design.
- Good organisational skills and time management with exceptional attention to detail. You can handle several projects at once, prioritise sensibly and deliver on time without needing to be reminded.
- Comfortable across digital tools including MS Office, Learning Management Systems and CRM platforms such as Salesforce.
- A genuine commitment to doing work that matters and to the values of an organisation that takes its social and environmental responsibilities seriously.
Why join us:
- £25,000 to £30,000 depending on experience.
- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, with an extra day added for each year you’re with us (up to three years).
- The option to buy additional holiday if you need more time to switch off.
- Discretionary company‑wide well‑being days, when the whole company takes the day off together.
- A company Apple MacBook.
- Workplace pension with 4% employer contribution.
- Hybrid working with real flexibility. Mostly remote, with at least one day a month at our South London office near Vauxhall/Stockwell.
- Quarterly prizes for top performers across the business.
- Regular socials including a summer party and a Christmas celebration worth showing up for.
