A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Responsible Sourcing & Human Rights Manager to join our successful team at LDH La Doria, based at our state‑of‑the‑art distribution facility in Sproughton, Ipswich.
Reporting to the Technical Director, the Responsible Sourcing & Human Rights Manager will act as the primary point of contact for colleagues, customers, and suppliers on all Ethical, Human Rights, and Sustainability‑related projects or challenges. This position will suit a determined, highly organised individual looking to build a long‑term career within an established and professional environment.
To be considered for this role, you must have experience in a similar position and a relevant qualification or practical background in Human Rights, Ethical Trade, or Environmental Sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:- Build open, transparent, and trustworthy relationships with customers and suppliers on all Responsible Sourcing and Human Rights matters.
- Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of the company’s Responsible Sourcing Strategy, with an emphasis on Human Rights, Environmental Responsibility, and Marine Sustainability.
- Lead cross‑functional projects that support the delivery of the Responsible Sourcing Strategy, ensuring data and documentation—particularly those relating to human rights risks—are accurately maintained and reported.
- Communicate LDH and customer policies, supporting suppliers and factories to improve standards in alignment with international human rights principles, ethical audits, and supply chain expectations.
- Support suppliers in implementing and managing ethical audit programs, including the development and monitoring of their human rights and responsible sourcing policies.
- Ensure customer KPIs are consistently met, including those relating to Sedex and SMETA audit completion and corrective action closure.
- Work proactively with suppliers when issues arise, providing support through the completion of ethical audits and human rights assessments, including travel to sourcing regions when required.
- Assist customer‑facing teams in communicating LDH’s Responsible Sourcing and Human Rights commitments, performance, and progress against key targets.
- Represent LDH at relevant ethical trade, human rights, and sustainability events.
- Conduct annual supply chain human rights risk assessments, ensuring risks are identified, documented, mapped, and acted upon appropriately.
- Undertake additional work or projects as required by the Technical Director.
- Occasional requirement to travel within the UK and Internationally.
