LDH are well established food distributors based in Ipswich with an impressive purpose-built office with a 45,000 holding pallet fully automated warehouse. LDH have over 65 years’ experience supplying the major UK supermarkets and is recognised as the leading own label supplier of a wide range of ambient foods, sourced from every corner of the world.
Job Summary:
- Support for all LAN, RF and wireless network and equipment.
- Support for all Server infrastructure including virtualization environment.
- Support for company applications.
- Administration of Active Directory.
- Support for CCTV systems.
- Support for warehouse automation systems.
Specifically:
- Administration of company applications such as 365, Active Directory, Mimecast, Manage Engine, SAP
- To support VMware and the virtualisation infrastructure
- To support and monitor all company servers
- To assist in the support for all user hardware and software issues including configuration
- To perform all Daily Tasks as outlined on IT Daily Task sheet
- Maintain accurately the company Asset Registry.
- To ensure that the company is fully compliant with software licensing.
- To assist in the configuration of company PC’s, laptops and mobile devices
- To manage antivirus protection for all servers, desktops and mobile devices.
- To install, configure and maintain any peripheral company equipment.
- To support telephone system.
- To assist in annual disaster recovery test.
- To support warehouse automation systems including single point of control system.
- To undertake additional work or projects at the discretion of the IT Director & IT Manager.
Key Accountabilities:
- To provide for reliability of all IT systems to a minimum of 99% recovery
- To provide for a maximum of 4 business hours downtime for any one core business service
- To provide for a maximum of 24 hours downtime per annum of total disruption to business of all services due to natural disaster or major external communication failure
Additional Requirements:
- The above list of responsibilities is not exhaustive, and the post holder may be required to carry out such other duties as required from time to time which are broadly consistent with the status of the post within the organisation.
- Ensure customer and Company confidentiality at all times
- Adhere to the Company’s Health and Safety Policy at all times
- Provide cover for colleagues as directed by your Line Manager
- To take part in an out of hours on-call rota
- All staff are required to undertake training as determined by the Line Manager
- This is a Display Screen Equipment (DSE) user regulated post.
Measures of Performance:
- Delivery of 99% IT systems uptime
- To meet the figure of no more than 24 hours down time of total business disruption
- Positive feedback from all clients concerning the workability; response time periods and quality of solutions provided
