We are currently recruiting Full time Support Workers to work with an individual who has autism, mild learning disabilities and mental health needs within the ASKERN, Doncaster. Please note we are not a recruitment agency.
Role Description

We currently have a great opportunity for dedicated Support Workers to work with individuals who have learning disability, autism and/or mental health support needs. The individuals will be living on their own so we are looking for Support Workers who can provide 360 wrap around support that covers all aspects of their life throughout the day and night.

- Provide support during the good times and the difficult periods our individual faces in their daily life.
- Have a good understanding of Autism / Mental Health and how this can impact daily living or have worked in a mental health setting.
- Understand Autism or have had experience working with Autistic people, and that you understand that being autistic is an important part of who they are.
- Be a positive advocate for them.
- Be consistent – do what you say you will if you can’t explain why.
- Be prepared to motivate them in a supportive manner.
- Be patient and understanding encourage them on the difficult days.
- Have a fun and kind personality who will go on adventures.
- Work with them to solve issues and overcome day to day tasks.
- Come to work to “Get to know me” as that is what is needed to support them.
- Work as part of the team who deliver amazing person-centred care.
- Think outside the box.
- Be able to have a laugh and joke but have set standards and boundaries.

Schedule:

*Refer a friend bonus is payable at £125 once the referred individual has successfully completed their first shift. £125 once the referred individual has successfully completed their probation period.
