Due to growth and development within our services, we have several opportunities to welcome experienced health and social care professionals to our supported living services in Macclesfield. We are looking for capable and resilient support workers who are open to variety and new challenges, who can work positively with individuals to mitigate risk and readmission to hospital, enabling individuals to take positive risks, promote community inclusion and take an active role in their life.

The service in Macclesfield is a supported living service for 3 individuals, each with their own self-contained apartment and core team. Primary diagnosis of Mental health need, the individuals we support may also have:

  • Learning disabilities
  • Personality Disorder including EUPD
  • Self-harm and Suicidal ideation

The role of a Home not Hospital support worker is integral to enabling individuals to meet their personal goals, develop life and coping skills, form and maintain relationships and manage all aspects of daily life including personal care and medication, following PBS plans, care plans and risk assessments. The role includes working as part of a dedicated team which includes the service manager, team leaders and PBS practitioner.

  • Have experience supporting individuals with complex needs: severe autism, learning disabilities and mental health conditions
  • Be able to develop positive relationships, set boundaries and standards
  • Have a kind, caring and patient attitude

Schedule: Shift work over a 7-day period including bank holidays

  • 12-hour shifts
  • 8am – 8pm day shift
  • 8pm – 8am waking night shift
  • Overtime

Licence/Certification:

  • Care Certificate
  • Full UK Driving Licence (preferred)

*Refer a friend bonus is payable at £125 once the referred individual has successfully completed their first shift. £125 once the referred individual has successfully completed their probation period.
