We are currently recruiting Support Workers to support an individual within the Bodmin area.
We currently have a great opportunity for dedicated Support Workers to work with an individual who has learning disability / autism / mental health support needs. The individual will be provided support throughout the day and night.
To be part of their team, they are looking for the following qualities from a team member:
- Provide support during the good times and the difficult periods our individual faces in their daily life.
- Have a good understanding of Autism / Mental Health and how this can impact daily living or have worked in a mental health setting.
- Understand Autism or have had experience working with Autistic people, and that you understand that being autistic is an important part of who they are.
- Be a positive advocate for them.
- Be consistent – do what you say you will if you can’t explain why.
- Be prepared to motivate them in a supportive manner.
- Be patient and encouraging on the difficult days.
- Have a fun and kind personality who will go on adventures.
- Work with them to solve issues and overcome day to day tasks.
- Come to work to “Get to know me” as that is what is needed to support them.
- Work as part of the team who deliver amazing person-centred care.
- Think outside the box.
- Be able to have a laugh and joke but have set standards and boundaries.

Schedule: 12 hour shifts – 08:00 to 20:00 Monday to Friday Weekend availability Overtime
Licence/Certification: Mental Health (preferred) Driving Licence (preferred)
Refer a Friend Bonus: £125 once the referred individual has successfully completed their first shift. £125 once the referred individual has successfully completed their probation period.
