About Us
We are a boutique compliance consultancy specialising in supporting FCA regulated firms within the Motor Finance industry. Our approach is personal, practical and supportive. We work alongside our clients to help them understand regulatory requirements, find sensible solutions and continuously improve their businesses. We don’t believe compliance should feel intimidating or overcomplicated. Our team is small, friendly and collaborative, and we’re looking for someone who shares those values.
The Opportunity
We’re looking for an experienced Compliance professional to join our growing team on a part-time basis. This role would suit someone who enjoys variety. No two days are quite the same, and you’ll have the opportunity to work across several areas of compliance while supporting a range of regulated businesses. You’ll be given support and training as you settle into the role, but we’re looking for someone who already has a solid understanding of FCA regulated environments and can confidently manage their own workload.
As our business continues to grow, there may be opportunities to develop your role and responsibilities if that’s something you would like to pursue. As a small and growing business, you’ll also have the opportunity to help shape the way we work, contribute ideas, and make a real impact. We genuinely value initiative and welcome suggestions that help improve both our business and the service we provide to our clients.
This is a remote role, offering flexibility with no expectation of daily commuting. There may occasionally be opportunities to travel for client meetings, training or team catch-ups, but these will be planned in advance. Importantly, this is a pure compliance role. There are no sales targets, business development responsibilities or pressure to generate new business. Our focus is on delivering high-quality compliance support and building trusted relationships with our clients.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Carrying out Quality Assurance (QA) audits on customer calls and providing constructive feedback.
- Assisting with third-party due diligence and onboarding reviews.
- Reviewing financial promotions to ensure FCA compliance.
- Supporting the review and updating of compliance documentation, including policies, procedures and guidance documents.
- Assisting with compliance monitoring activities and thematic reviews.
- Helping monitor regulatory developments and supporting clients with implementing regulatory changes.
- Supporting wider compliance projects as they arise.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to provide practical, proportionate solutions for clients.
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation.
As we’re a small business, everyone helps each other out, so there may occasionally be opportunities to get involved in other areas of the business too.
What We’re Looking For
Essential- At least 2 years’ experience in a Compliance Officer, Compliance Assistant, Quality Assurance or similar role within the Motor Finance, Consumer Credit or wider Financial Services industry.
- A good understanding of FCA regulation and expectations.
- Experience in at least some of the responsibilities listed above.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- The ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
- UK based with the right to work in the UK.
- Experience working with Motor Finance Brokers or Motor Dealerships.
- Knowledge of Consumer Duty, CONC, SYSC and Financial Promotions requirements.
- Experience reviewing customer outcomes or providing coaching feedback from QA audits.
- Experience working within a consultancy or supporting multiple businesses (although this isn’t essential).
The Person
Technical knowledge is important, but personality matters just as much to us. We’re looking for someone who:
- Is friendly, approachable and enjoys helping people.
- Can explain compliance in a practical and supportive way.
- Builds positive relationships with clients.
- Is proactive and happy to take ownership of their work.
- Enjoys variety and can adapt as priorities change.
- Isn’t afraid to ask questions or suggest improvements.
- Is organised, reliable and takes pride in producing high-quality work.
- Is happy to roll their sleeves up and support the wider team whenever needed.
We’re not looking for someone who simply points out problems—we’re looking for someone who enjoys finding practical solutions and supporting clients in achieving good customer outcomes.
Hours & Flexibility
This is a part-time position (20–25 hours per week). Hours should be worked across a minimum of 3 days per week, although they can be spread across up to 5 days if preferred. We’re happy to discuss working patterns to suit both you and the business. Some of your hours will need to fall within normal business hours (9:00am–5:00pm) to support client meetings and collaboration.
Salary & Benefits
- £27,500–£35,000 pro rata (depending on experience).
- Workplace pension.
- Private dental cover following successful completion of probation.
- Fully remote working with no daily commute.
- Flexible working pattern.
- Ongoing training and professional development.
- The opportunity to influence and help shape a growing business.
- A supportive, friendly team environment where you’ll be trusted rather than micromanaged.
