Role We are looking for like‑minded individuals who have a passion for supporting our cause and mission to join our small but dynamic team. We now seek a number of passionate Lecturers in Hospitality and Business to join our dedicated academic team.
Main Duties
- Monitoring and reporting on attendance and engagement for all HND students
- Deliver engaging lectures, seminars, workshops, and practical sessions
- Design, update, and enhance curriculum content and assessments
- Provide high‑quality and timely marking, feedback and support to learners
- Act as personal tutor, supporting academic and pastoral development
- Engage in moderation, quality assurance, and academic committees
- Proven experience of working with senior lecturers/head of programme(s) to develop schemes of work and academic calendars
- Commitment to continuous professional development and currency in both subject expertise and teaching methodologies
- Demonstrable track record or clear potential for engaging in research/scholarship, including dissemination of findings
- Ensure availability for timetabling, resource planning, and weekend as well as some weekday evenings delivery
- Collaborate on CPD initiatives and peer‑led teaching development
- Undertake any other duties commensurate with the general level of responsibility of this post
Qualifications
- Master's degree in relevant field (PhD preferred)
- Experience of teaching in HE or similar vocational contexts
- Understanding of UK HE standards and inclusive practice
- Strong communication, digital delivery, and student engagement skills
- A teaching qualification or being prepared to obtain a teaching qualification (e.g. Certificate in Learning and Teaching, or PGCE/PGCHE) within two years of appointment
- Membership of Advanced HE or willing to work towards membership within a year of appointment
- Vocational experience (i.e. hospitality, business management)
- Experience in community or mission‑based education environments
