Working as part of a small, high-performing Supply Chain team, the role is responsible for inventory accuracy, stock integrity, and service excellence through robust stock control processes including cycle counting, investigations, quality checks, and FIFO stock optimisation. The role will also develop capability in certain aspects of demand planning and purchase order management. This is not a full-time demand planning position but is intended to build team resilience and provide cover during periods such as annual leave.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Book inbound deliveries, perform goods-in and quality checks, and monitor capacity.
  • Support inbound and outbound stock movements.
  • Assist with transport collections and customer deliveries.
  • Perform weekly cycle counts and stock investigations.
  • Lead the annual stock take.
  • Manage stock optimisation and consolidation using FIFO principles.
  • Maintain system and physical inventory accuracy.
  • Liaise with customers and suppliers to resolve queries and issues.
  • Maintain service excellence against agreed SLAs.
  • Ensure all work is completed safely, on time, and in line with company policies.

Demand Planning, Stock Analysis & Purchase Orders (Developmental Responsibility):

  • Gain working knowledge of demand planning processes to support team resilience.
  • Perform basic stock analysis to identify reorder requirements and potential risks.
  • Support stock ordering activities during periods of cover (e.g. annual leave).
  • Liaise with suppliers to confirm availability and lead times when required.
  • Raise and manage purchase orders using the company PO system under guidance.
  • Track open orders and ensure accurate receipting of goods.

Health, Safety & Compliance:

  • Maintain a safe and healthy working environment.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • Undertake required training and use company-provided equipment correctly.
  • Present a professional image to clients and visitors.

Stock control and audit experience, FLT licence, willingness and ability to learn demand planning and purchase order processes, understanding of telecoms network equipment, and process improvement experience are essential.

  • Proactive and solutions-oriented.
  • Strong team player with ability to work independently.
