London College of Beauty Therapy (part of Education for Industry Group) is seeking a reliable and proactive Facilities Assistant to support the day-to-day upkeep of our premises. In this hands-on role, you will carry out a range of general maintenance tasks to ensure the site remains safe, clean, and fully operational. This is a varied position suited to someone with a practical mindset, good attention to detail, and a flexible approach to supporting different areas of building maintenance as required.
Qualifications
- No formal qualifications are required; however, previous relevant experience in a maintenance or facilities role is essential.
- A relevant trade background and/or health & safety certifications (e.g. CSCS card, manual handling training) are advantageous.
Experience
- Previous experience in a general maintenance, caretaking, or similar practical role is essential.
- Experience working in a customer-facing or busy operational environment is beneficial.
Expertise
- Basic understanding of health and safety practices within a maintenance or facilities environment.
- Awareness of safe manual handling and general site maintenance practices.
Skills
- Practical, hands-on ability with strong time management and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively and carry out manual tasks, including lifting and moving equipment.
- Good communication skills with a courteous and professional manner are essential.
