About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Associate to join the firm's Residential Property Litigation team. Based in Manchester, the successful candidate will work on a varied caseload of contentious residential property matters, advising clients on complex disputes and providing strategic, commercially focused solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a broad range of residential property litigation matters, including landlord and tenant disputes, possession claims, leasehold disputes, service charge challenges, boundary disputes, rights of way issues, and property ownership disputes.
  • Advise landlords, developers, housing associations, managing agents, and private clients on contentious residential property matters.
  • Handle cases through all stages of the litigation process, including pre-action strategy, negotiation, mediation, and court proceedings.
  • Draft and review legal documentation, pleadings, witness statements, settlement agreements, and correspondence.
  • Provide pragmatic and commercially focused advice on litigation risk, dispute resolution strategies, and potential outcomes.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, delivering an exceptional standard of client service.
  • Supervise, mentor, and support junior members of the team, contributing to their professional development.
  • Play an active role in business development initiatives, networking activities, and the continued growth of the Residential Property Litigation practice.
