About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Associate Solicitor to join the firm's growing Real Estate Finance team. Based in Manchester, the successful candidate will work closely with partners and senior lawyers on a broad range of real estate-backed lending transactions, advising both lenders and borrowers across a variety of asset classes.

Responsibilities

  • Advise lenders, borrowers, investors, and developers on a wide range of real estate finance transactions.
  • Assist with the structuring, negotiation, and completion of investment, development, acquisition, and refinancing transactions.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate facility agreements, security documentation, certificates, reports on title, and ancillary finance documents.
  • Conduct and coordinate due diligence exercises, including reviewing title documentation and property-related risks.
  • Work closely with colleagues across Real Estate, Corporate, and Banking teams to deliver seamless client service.
  • Support clients on transaction management from instruction through to completion.
  • Provide commercially focused advice on legal risks and transaction structures.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, intermediaries, and professional contacts.
  • Contribute to business development initiatives and support the continued growth of the Real Estate Finance practice.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales with experience gained within a Banking & Finance, Real Estate Finance, or Commercial Property team.
  • Exposure to real estate-backed lending transactions and secured finance work.
  • Strong drafting, negotiation, and transaction management skills.
  • Commercially aware with the ability to provide practical and solutions-focused advice.
  • Excellent communication and client relationship management skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively within a collaborative team environment.
  • A proactive approach to professional development and business development activities.
