The firm is now seeking an ambitious Senior Associate to join its Real Estate team, with a clearly defined and supported pathway to Partner. This is a rare opportunity for someone looking to take the next strategic step in their career within a stable, well-managed and collaborative environment. Based in Leeds, the role offers flexible hybrid working (2 days per week from home), a competitive salary, discretionary annual bonus, and an attractive, well-rounded benefits package.
You will be joining a high-performing and collaborative team, working on high-quality, varied matters for an impressive client base including UK and international market-leading retailers, hotel operators, and private equity investors. The role offers real responsibility, strong client exposure, and the opportunity to play a meaningful part in the continued growth of the practice.
Key responsibilities (but not limited to):
- Assisting with the acquisition and disposal of investment properties, covering sectors such as industrial and retail, as well as ongoing asset management matters.
- Supporting acquisitions and site assembly, advising on land promotion agreements, option agreements and easements, acting for both developers and owner/occupiers, and liaising closely with planning and construction teams.
- Managing a diverse caseload and supporting the wider real estate unit, acting for retail clients, property owners and commercial occupiers.
- Applying commercial insight and technical expertise to support corporate transactions, including complex matters and compliance requirements.
- Working as part of the real estate finance team with an impressive portfolio of national banks and funders across a range of transactions.
- Assisting in the supervision of the telecoms team, advising on the legal complexities surrounding telecommunications infrastructure.
About you:
- Strong grounding in commercial real estate law, with a particular focus on investment work and a minimum of five years’ PQE.
- Able to demonstrate sound judgement, attention to detail and confidence in handling complex matters.
- Ambitious and motivated, with a clear aspiration to progress to Partner.
- Proactive in identifying opportunities, contributing to business development and raising the profile of the team and firm.
- Skilled at translating technical legal advice into clear, practical guidance for clients and colleagues.
