A leading international law firm is seeking an Associate or Senior Associate to join its highly regarded Private Wealth team in Exeter. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established and growing team advising high-net-worth individuals, families, trustees and businesses on a broad range of private client matters, both within the UK and internationally.

The Opportunity

Working as part of a collaborative and supportive team, you will advise clients on a wide variety of private wealth matters, including succession planning, tax-efficient structuring, trust creation and administration, estate planning, and probate. The team also has a strong international focus, advising on residence and domicile planning, as well as inbound and outbound wealth structuring.

The Role

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Advising clients on estate and asset protection planning
  • Drafting wills, including complex and tax-efficient wills incorporating trusts
  • Establishing and advising on onshore trusts
  • Managing probate matters and estate administration
  • Advising on powers of attorney and capacity-related issues
  • Handling Court of Protection matters
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships, delivering practical and commercially focused advice
  • Supervising, mentoring and developing junior members of the team
  • Contributing to business development, networking and marketing initiatives
