I’m currently working with an industry leading law firm that is looking to expand its Banking & Finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor with 4+ years’ PQE who is keen to gain exposure to a broad mix of finance work within a highly regarded and growing team.
The Opportunity
You’ll advise on a wide range of transactions including:
- General corporate lending
- Acquisition and leveraged finance
- Real estate finance
- Project finance
- Asset-based lending
The team acts for major UK financial institutions (including clearing and challenger banks), specialist lenders and a wide range of borrower clients both in the UK and internationally. There is particularly strong activity in:
- Private equity and acquisition finance
- Real estate finance across acquisitions, investment and development projects
This role offers genuine breadth of work and the chance to be closely involved in high-quality, complex transactions.
About You
You’ll ideally have previous experience within a recognised banking or finance team and be comfortable managing matters with appropriate supervision. Key attributes include:
- Strong technical capability and sound commercial judgement
- Experience drafting and negotiating finance documentation (including facility and credit agreements, LMA documentation etc.)
- Confident communicator with strong client-facing skills
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- A proactive and motivated approach to career development
