Employment Professional Support Lawyer (PSL)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Employment Lawyer to join a highly regarded national Employment, HR and Immigration team in a Professional Support Lawyer role, based in Cheltenham.
This is an excellent opportunity for an established PSL or a technically strong Employment Solicitor looking to move into professional support.
You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the team’s approach to legal knowledge, training and technical excellence, helping ensure colleagues stay ahead of legal developments and continue delivering consistently high-quality advice.
The role offers hybrid working, with part-time and flexible working arrangements also considered.
The Role
Working within a large, collaborative Employment team, you’ll act as a central point of expertise, supporting colleagues with legal updates, practical guidance, training and knowledge management.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Monitoring developments in employment legislation, case law and regulation, translating changes into clear, practical guidance.
- Managing and developing the team’s precedents, templates and knowledge resources.
- Designing and delivering training, supporting CPD programmes and contributing to inductions.
- Producing client alerts, thought leadership and legal updates.
- Supporting seminars and other initiatives to strengthen the team's profile and reputation.
- Promoting consistency, technical excellence and best practice across the team.
- Exploring opportunities to improve efficiency through legal technology, automation and AI.
- Potentially undertaking a limited amount of fee-earning or client work, depending on your experience and interests.
You’ll support a diverse client base spanning major national and international employers, PLCs, SMEs, public sector organisations and private individuals across a wide range of industries.
As a newly established role, this is an opportunity to help shape the team’s approach to knowledge sharing and professional development.
