Due to significant and continued growth they are looking for an experienced and ambitious banking & finance solicitor to join their real estate finance team in Leeds.

This is an excellent opportunity for a senior Banking & Finance lawyer to join a successful and expanding team, working on a broad range of high-quality Real Estate Finance matters for an impressive client base.

The opportunity

  • Advise a broad range of lenders, investors, funds, financial institutions and corporate clients across a variety of financing transactions.
  • Work on a wide range of Real Estate Finance matters, acting for both lenders and borrowers.
  • Take responsibility for transactions from initial instruction through to completion, with the opportunity to play a significant role in the delivery of complex matters.
  • Work closely with colleagues across the wider Real Estate and Corporate teams on matters involving funding, structuring and wider transactional considerations.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, taking an active role in client development and business development initiatives.
  • Contribute to the continued growth and profile of the wider Banking & Finance practice.
  • Support and develop more junior members of the team, sharing knowledge and experience and helping to foster a collaborative team environment.

About you

  • 8+ years’ PQE with a strong background in Banking & Finance and, ideally, significant experience in Real Estate Finance.
  • Experience gained within a recognised Banking & Finance practice, with the ability to demonstrate strong technical and commercial knowledge.
  • Experience acting for either lenders or borrowers, ideally with exposure to both sides of transactions.
  • The ability to take ownership of transactions and manage matters with a high degree of autonomy.
  • Supervisory and mentoring capabilities, with a genuine interest in developing junior team members.
  • A proactive and commercial approach to client service and business development.
