They are seeking an Associate / Senior Associate to join their highly ranked Insurance Disputes team in Leeds.

The opportunity

  • Work on high-quality and complex insurance disputes for a broad client base of leading insurers and professionals across the UK.
  • Focus primarily on professional indemnity matters, acting for lawyers, construction professionals, accountants, insurance brokers and other regulated professionals.
  • Advise on high-value and technically challenging claims, including negligence, coverage issues and regulatory matters.
  • Play a key role in managing matters from inception through to resolution, including strategy, client engagement and court proceedings where required.
  • Collaborate closely with experienced Partners and senior lawyers as part of a well-regarded national Insurance Disputes practice.
  • Benefit from excellent exposure to clients and early responsibility, with opportunities to build long-term relationships with key insurer clients.
  • Join a team that encourages knowledge sharing, collaboration and career progression, with clear opportunities to develop within a supportive national platform.

About you

  • 3+ years PQE with a strong background in professional indemnity and/or commercial litigation.
  • Proven experience managing complex or high-value professional indemnity claims, and building strong client relationships.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team, with an interest in mentoring and supervising more junior lawyers.
  • A proactive and commercial approach to client service and business development.
