We are partnering with one of Birminghams most established law firms who are looking to hire a Senior Employment Solicitor as a growth hire to their recognised team in Birmingham.
The team is Tier 1 ranked in the West Midlands and covers the full spectrum of contentious and advisory work: restrictive covenants and business protection, discrimination, trade unions and industrial relations, and workplace investigations and whistleblowing.
Duties include:
- Advising a wide range of clients on a full range of employment law matters, with a focus on the pending and upcoming changes
- Supporting on employee relations issues (disciplinary, grievance, capability)
- Assisting with and managing employment tribunal claims
- Advising on TUPE, restructures, and redundancy processes
- Providing guidance on equality legislation and compliance
- Contributing to training sessions and client-facing initiatives
- Supporting business development and client relationship activities
Experience required:
- Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) with employment law experience
- Strong grounding in both contentious and non-contentious employment matters
- Experience advising on employee relations and tribunal matters
- Knowledge of equality legislation and employment case law
- Commercially aware, organised, and confident managing your own workload
- Strong client management skills and an interest in business development
