A leading law firm is seeking an Intellectual Property Lawyer for their Birmingham based IP Team. The successful candidate will play a key role in providing legal insight, research support, and training for fee earners, while also contributing to the team’s business development and knowledge initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and interpret legal developments in IP across the UK and EU
- Provide research and analysis to support fee earners on complex legal queries
- Develop and deliver internal training sessions and workshops on relevant IP topics
- Contribute to client-facing learning initiatives, including seminars, webinars, and podcasts
- Write articles, newsletters, and other content to support the team’s external thought leadership programme
- Maintain and update internal knowledge resources, including precedent banks and know-how databases
- Support the team with business development initiatives and horizon scanning for emerging legal trends
- Attend relevant external events, training, and sector meetings to maintain market awareness
- Collaborate with partners and colleagues across the firm to enhance IP service offerings
Candidate Profile
- Qualified solicitor or barrister with a strong background in Intellectual Property law
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to manage competing priorities
- Comfortable delivering training and engaging with colleagues at all levels
