We are working with a well‑established, highly regarded law firm seeking a Family Solicitor to join their growing Family Law team. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven and compassionate solicitor to develop their career within a supportive and reputable environment. The Role
You will manage a varied caseload of privately funded family matters, supporting clients through often complex and sensitive situations. This role offers a strong mix of autonomy and supervision, making it ideal for someone looking to build confidence and expertise in family law.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing your own caseload of family law matters from instruction through to conclusion
- Advising clients on a broad range of issues, including: Divorce and separation
- Drafting legal documents, correspondence, and court applications
- Conducting legal research and preparing case strategies
- Attending court hearings, client meetings, and negotiations (with support where required)
- Supporting senior team members on more complex or high‑value cases
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships, demonstrating empathy and professionalism
- Ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory and procedural requirements
- Managing deadlines effectively and maintaining accurate case records
- Contributing to business development activities where appropriate
Candidate Requirements
- Qualified Solicitor with 2–4 years’ PQE (or equivalent experience) in family law
- Experience handling a range of family matters, including divorce, financial remedy, and children work
- Ability to manage a caseload independently
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines
- Excellent drafting and communication skills
