We are working with a leading national law firm to recruit a Principal Associate into its highly regarded Non-Contentious Construction & Engineering team in Birmingham. This is an excellent opportunity to join one of the largest and most respected construction teams in the UK, advising on high-value, high-profile construction, engineering and infrastructure projects across multiple sectors.
You’ll join a market-leading, full-service construction practice acting for developers, contractors, investors, public sector bodies, and major corporates on complex and often landmark projects. The team is uniquely positioned in the market, acting across the full spectrum of stakeholders, and is regularly instructed on large-scale, complex developments and infrastructure schemes across sectors including real estate, logistics, energy, housing, regeneration, healthcare, and major infrastructure.
- Advising on major construction and engineering projects across the UK and internationally
- Drafting and negotiating a range of construction contracts (JCT, NEC, FIDIC, MF/1)
- Working on large-scale regeneration and infrastructure projects
- Delivering commercial, pragmatic advice to a high-calibre client base
- Taking a lead role on transactions with limited partner supervision
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships
- Strong experience in non-contentious construction law
- Proven track record advising on major projects and complex transactions
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple high-value projects
