They are seeking a Senior Associate / Managing Associate to join their highly ranked Commercial & Projects team in Leeds.
The opportunity
- Play a key role in delivering complex commercial and infrastructure projects for public and private sector clients, including long-term frameworks such as PFI/PPP arrangements.
- Advise on operational contract management, variations, refinancing, performance issues, and contract interpretation.
- Support clients with contract expiry, hand-back obligations, and future service arrangements in line with relevant guidance.
- Collaborate across multi-disciplinary teams, including real estate, construction, finance, corporate, and dispute resolution etc. to deliver integrated client solutions.
- Manage and develop client relationships, with opportunities to grow your own practice.
- Support, mentor, and train junior lawyers, and contribute to internal and external learning initiatives.
- Participate in business development initiatives to help drive the growth of the team.
About you
- 5+ years PQE with experience in commercial contracts, infrastructure projects, and/or long-term complex frameworks such as PFI/PPP.
- Ability to provide practical and commercial legal advice that is delivery focussed.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team, with an interest in mentoring and supervising more junior lawyers.
- A proactive and commercial approach to client service and business development.
