We are currently instructed by a leading global law firm to recruit a Solicitor / Associate – Property Damage (Subrogated Recoveries) to join its Commercial Insurance team based in Manchester.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing and well-regarded Commercial Insurance team specialising in property damage recovery claims. Acting for insurer clients, you will play a key role in pursuing subrogated recoveries to recover insurer outlay arising from damage to both commercial and domestic property. The role offers exposure to a varied caseload, as well as the opportunity to assist on high-value and complex large loss matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing a caseload of property damage recovery claims
- Assisting on complex and high-value large loss matters as part of a wider team
- Delivering work in line with client requirements, service level agreements, and best practice
- Analysing legal and commercial risk and providing clear, well-reasoned advice
- Effectively prioritising workload to maximise efficiency
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
- Supporting and mentoring more junior members of the team where appropriate
Candidate Requirements
- Experience handling or assisting with insurance-related property damage claims, with a focus on subrogated recoveries
- Strong technical expertise and interest in Commercial Insurance matters
- A proven ability to deliver results within strict deadlines and timeframes
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to manage complex issues for a range of stakeholders
- A self-motivated approach, with the ability to support and develop others within a team environment
