Technical Engineer Permanent | Full-Time | Based in Telford West Midlands Travel Required L & C Consulting are working with a successful and expanding Telford-based organisation to recruit a Technical Engineer / Technical Support Engineer / Telecoms Specialist. This is a fantastic permanent opportunity for an experienced IT professional seeking the next step in their career within a supportive, forward‑thinking business. The Role As a Technical Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering high‑quality installation, configuration, and support services across a range of communication systems. Your responsibilities will include: * Installing and configuring communication and software-based systems * Diagnosing and resolving technical faults * Providing customer training and ongoing support * Travelling to customer sites across Shropshire, the West Midlands, Staffordshire, and Mid Wales Standard working hours are 08:30 – 17:30, Monday to Friday, though some flexibility is required due to the field‑based nature of the role. About You To be considered, you should ideally have: * Experience in a similar IT, telecoms, or software support role * Strong technical aptitude and a willingness to learn bespoke systems * Excellent communication skills, with the ability to support users of varying technical levels * A professional, organised, and flexible approach * A full UK driving licence * The ability to commute to Telford and surrounding areas (e.g., Shrewsbury, Bridgnorth, Newport, Shifnal, Market Drayton, Wolverhampton, Perton) This role offers genuine development opportunities for someone looking to grow their technical career.
