About the role
This role is responsible for ensuring the smooth and reliable operation of Barnet Council’s CCTV and public space surveillance services. You’ll play a key part in keeping systems available, secure and compliant, helping to support community safety across the borough. You’ll manage and support the technical infrastructure behind the CCTV service, including networks, video management systems and access controls. This includes monitoring performance, resolving faults, maintaining systems in line with contracts, and working closely with specialist suppliers and service providers to keep everything running effectively. Alongside the technical work, the role contributes to intelligence gathering and the effective use of CCTV to help reduce crime and anti‑social behaviour. You’ll work with a wide range of internal teams and partners, support service development and innovation, and deputise for the Head of Service when required, including assisting with budget and project oversight.
