Applications are invited from well qualified, committed and enthusiastic teachers to join our highly successful Computing department. The department prides itself on delivering a Computing curriculum which provides opportunities for learners of all abilities to access Computer Science in a fun and engaging way. As a flexible practitioner, you will teach across a wide ability range while maintaining high expectations for all learners. Knowledge of Computer Science and programming are essential as well as a desire to help every child fulfil their potential.
The department is dynamic, supportive and successful with a long history of excellent results at KS4 & 5, where we currently teach GCSE Computer Science, Level 1/Level 2 BTEC in Digital Information Technology, A level Computer Science and Level 3 AAQ BTEC National ICT. We also have an exciting programme of study at KS3 with an emphasis on how computers work, data handling, HTML and programming in particular.
Applications are welcome from both experienced and newly qualified teachers of Computer Science who can demonstrate high standards, commitment, passion and the ability to teach across the full range of age and abilities. Applications from suitably qualified ECT’s will also be considered.
