£35.77 per hour, 11 hours over 2 days. Required to start – 1 September 2025. Designated ‘outstanding’ by Ofsted in November 2022 and widely recognised as one of the top 100 state funded schools in the country.
We are looking for an outstanding guitar teacher to join our thriving department from September 2025. In addition to teaching one-to-one lessons, the successful applicant will lead a weekly guitar ensemble and support the department at concerts. You will join a team of twenty-four peripatetic staff including two guitar teachers that teach in a more popular style.
There is an administrator who deals with timetables and payment. You will be contracted to teach up to 11 hours over two days. There are 31 weeks of lessons scheduled throughout the academic year (11 in the autumn term, 10 in the spring term, and 10 in the summer term).
Applicants will have:
- A Music Degree / Diploma or relevant experience
- Experience of teaching beginner guitarists to Grade 8 standard and beyond
- Experience of preparing students for examinations
- A good knowledge of guitar technique
- A desire to work as part of an enthusiastic team and be actively involved in the wider musical life of the school
