Class Teacher – The Alba Centre - Specialist deafblind provision

An innovative, enthusiastic and inspirational class teacher is required to work with students within our specialist deafblind provision, The Alba Centre. The teacher will have responsibility for a class of students and will be expected to provide a holistic education ensuring that the needs of each individual pupil are met. This will involve ongoing and close liaison with parents/carers, colleagues, therapists and other professionals. The teacher will be expected to: Set high expectations which inspire, motivate and challenge pupils Promote good progress and outcomes Demonstrate good subject and curriculum knowledge Plan and teach well-structured lessons Adapt teaching to respond to the strengths and needs of all pupils Make accurate and productive use of assessment Manage behaviour effectively to ensure a good and safe learning environment Fulfil wider professional responsibilities as required What can we offer you as a teac…
