Location: Richmond and Wandsworth

Other essential information: £2,000 salary increase on successful completion of your probation / ASYE period. £3,000 retention bonus (every 2 years of service).

Objective of the role

You will join Richmond and Wandsworth Adult Social Care as part of the Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE) programme, where you will develop your skills, confidence and professional practice. You will work within a collaborative social work team, supporting adults to maximise independence, wellbeing and choice, while gaining valuable experience across a range of adult social care functions. Throughout your ASYE year, you will receive structured support, reflective supervision, and access to high-quality training to help you progress into a confident and capable social worker.

About the role

  • Undertaking Care Act assessments to identify needs, strengths and risks
  • Developing and reviewing support plans that are person-centred and outcome-focused
  • Applying the Mental Capacity Act, including capacity assessments and best interest decision-making
  • Supporting and responding to safeguarding
