Lazy Women is an online platform and global movement created by young women from predominantly Eastern Europe and Central Asia. Over the past 5 years, Lazy Women has evolved from a hobby blog into a full-scale volunteer-run feminist media outlet and creative hub, nurturing a community of over fifty talented writers, podcasters, and illustrators. Together, we create thought-provoking content that challenges norms, disrupts stereotypes, and inspires change.

Role Description

This is an unpaid, part-time, remote, volunteer internship role for a Grants Manager for a fixed period of 6 months. The Grants Manager will be responsible for identifying, researching, and applying for funding opportunities, with a strong focus on EU-based and European independent media grants. The role also includes exploring additional revenue streams such as sponsorships, partnerships, and ethical advertising options that align with Lazy Women\’s mission. The ideal candidate will work closely with the editorial and leadership teams to craft compelling proposals and outreach materials that reflect the unique voice and values of Lazy Women.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in grant writing, especially in the EU or European independent media ecosystem
  • Strong research, writing, and communication skills in English
  • Understanding of nonprofit funding, sponsorship outreach, or advertising partnerships
  • Ability to write compelling narratives that align with Lazy Women’s tone and mission
  • Marketing or fundraising experience is a strong asset
  • Passion for feminism, social change, and independent media
  • Previous experience with volunteer or nonprofit organizations is a plus
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
