We’re currently seeking a Nightshift Quality Assurance Advisor to join our dedicated Technical Team and help ensure we always deliver on our promise to customers and consumers.

This a permanent position working Monday – Thursday 1900 – 0540 (40 Hours)

The Role

As a Quality Assurance Advisor, you\’ll play a crucial part in maintaining our food safety, regulatory compliance, and quality assurance systems. Working closely with the QHSE Manager and other departments across the business, you’ll ensure that Lazy Day Foods continues to meet or exceed certification, customer, GMP, and brand standards.

You’ll be the go-to expert on the shop floor for quality‑related issues, supporting continuous improvement initiatives and ensuring our products remain safe, legal, and of the highest quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and support the implementation of our food safety and hygiene systems, in line with BRC, regulatory, and customer standards.
  • Conduct and record GMP, hygiene, fabrication, and QAS audits.
  • Complete daily QA checks including sharps, packaging, metal detection, chill, weight, and more.
  • Monitor and document traceability, recalls, and non‑conformance investigations.
  • Deliver induction and quality‑related training to new staff and contractors.
  • Ensure calibration of weighing and temperature control equipment is accurate and up to date.
  • Organise allergen testing and release of finished goods.
  • Work cross‑functionally to ensure all documentation is compliant and accurate.
  • Participate in internal and external audits.

What We’re Looking For

Qualifications and Experience

  • Experience in a similar Quality Assurance role within food manufacturing.
  • Food Hygiene Level 2 and Internal Audit (Food Safety) qualification.
  • Solid knowledge of quality assurance and quality control procedures.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Detailed understanding of food safety regulations including EC and UK Food Law.

  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office including, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
