Are you a passionate and strategic HR professional ready to make a real difference?

Lazy Day Foods, a dynamic and growing company dedicated to excellence in free from food production, named Employer of the Year 2024 at The Scotland Food & Drink Excellence Awards, is seeking an experienced HR Manager to lead our people strategy and drive employee engagement across our business.

About the Role:

As HR Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering a people strategy that supports our ambitious growth plans. Working closely with the Managing Directors and leadership team, you\’ll be responsible for:

• Leading all areas of HR, from recruitment and onboarding to learning, development, and succession planning.
• Managing and mentoring the HR team, including a direct report HR Advisor.
• Driving employee engagement and fostering a culture of inclusion, wellbeing, and continuous improvement.
• Leading workforce planning and ensuring we have the right people, in the right place, at the right time.
• Coordinating employee relations and supporting a fair and consistent people management culture.
• Overseeing payroll operations and ensuring legal compliance in all HR processes.

You\’ll be based on-site at our Bakery in Harthill, located between Edinburgh and Glasgow. This is a full time (40 hours) role working Monday – Friday however as a family friendly business we are happy to support flexible working, including condensed hours.

What We’re Looking For:

• A qualified and experienced HR professional with previous experience in an HR Manager role.
• Strong working knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
• Proven track record of enhancing employee engagement and building strong workplace cultures.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and coaching skills.
• Highly organised with strong IT and administrative capabilities (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Experience in food production or manufacturing sectors is advantageous.
• Be a strategic partner in a values-driven business.

• Annual Salary of £50,000.
