Lazard is seeking to recruit an Analyst to join the Debt Advisory & Capital Solutions Team in London. The individual will be involved in project execution and marketing, including financial modelling and credit analysis, preparation of presentations and other materials, project management and engagement with clients and lenders. The role will involve working across multiple types of transactions, debt products (both public and private), sectors and geographies. We are looking for an enthusiastic team player, who is motivated to take advantage of the opportunity to be involved in a wide range of transactions and learn from experienced colleagues.
The candidate will preferably have prior capital solutions / debt execution experience. We’ll trust you to:
- Assist with the execution of Debt & Capital Solutions transactions in an efficient manner.
- Demonstrate, and continue to develop, strong technical and analytical skills.
- Conduct credit analysis including undertaking financial modelling.
- Assist in the preparation and production of high quality presentations and marketing materials for clients and prospective clients.
- Develop sound and logical views; understand both big picture and minutiae.
- Effectively manage your own work; manage conflicting priorities and requests.
- Take responsibility for the accuracy, quality and consistency of your work.
- Build strong working relationships with colleagues, clients and counterparties.
- Assist senior bankers on an ad hoc basis as needed.
- Contribute to firm wide initiatives including recruitment, training, professional development, and other activities.
You’ll need to have:
- Previous employment as an analyst at a reputable financial services firm such as an investment bank, or other similar financial services provider.
- A proven track record in Debt Financing is preferable, but not required.
- Minimum 2.1 university degree classification (or equivalent if studied outside the UK).
- Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills to support credit analysis (including financial modelling in excel).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivation and resilience.
- Attention to detail and commitment to excellence.
- The ability to take initiative and function independently, balanced with strong team skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with colleagues and clients at all levels.
- Awareness of the regulatory environment we work in.
- High standards of professional and ethical conduct, adhering to legal and regulatory requirements of the banking environment.
