About Us: We are a well-established and fast-growing plumbing and heating service provider based in East London, specialising in heating solutions, domestic repairs, and installations. About the role: We are looking for a motivated and experienced Field Sales Lead to join our Hornchurch-based team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in sales and hands-on experience in the construction and/or plumbing and heating sector. The role involves managing predominantly inbound sales leads (80%), attending site visits, providing quotations, and closing deals. During quieter periods, the successful candidate will be expected to carry out outbound lead generation and sales follow-ups by contacting developers, builders, and estate agents. You will be the face of our company when meeting potential clients and are expected to deliver professional service from initial contact to sale closure.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Respond to and manage inbound leads, attend site visits, assess customer needs, and provide quotations which will also include pre-booked site visits.
- Engage with new and existing customers, understanding their requirements to provide tailored plumbing solutions.
- Use quotation software (e.g. SimPro) to generate accurate and timely proposals for plumbing services, including boiler installation, bathroom installation and repairs, underfloor heating, and radiator installations.
- Close sales through effective communication and understanding of customer requirements.
- Conduct outbound sales activity during off-peak months to generate new business.
- Maintain up-to-date records of client interactions and quotations.
- Liaise with the operations and installation teams to ensure smooth service delivery, liaise with office to ensure accurate understanding of client requirements.
- Stay informed about current plumbing services, technologies, and industry standards.
- Attend visits to provide quotations and close the deal; majority of visits fall under London Borough of Havering with occasional travel to Essex, Kent and London.
About you:
- Proven background in sales, ideally field-based, with a track record of meeting targets.
- Experience in the construction and/or plumbing industry is essential.
- Strong working knowledge of domestic plumbing services, including bathroom installation and repair, boiler installation, underfloor heating, and radiator installations.
- Customer focused.
- Proficiency with quotation software such as SimPro or similar tools.
- Confident communicator with excellent customer service and negotiation skills.
- Full UK Driving Licence is essential.
- Self-motivated, organised, and able to work independently.
