Job Description
Associate – Executive Search (Financial Services)
About Laz Partners
Founded in 2018, Laz Partners is a specialist executive search firm with a strong reputation in front-office investment recruitment. We work with top-tier hedge funds, private credit funds, asset managers, and investment banks, supporting them in hiring exceptional investment talent across global macro, credit, and private markets strategies. Our work is typically exclusive or retained, and our approach is known for being precise, professional, and highly consultative.
The Opportunity
We are hiring for an Associate to join our growing team in London. This role is ideal for someone with around a year of experience in recruitment who is looking to take the next step in their career and transition into higher-value executive search work.
You will be trained in financial markets and our specialist verticals (macro and credit), so you do not need to come in with deep market knowledge. Instead, we are looking for someone with strong commercial instincts, intellectual curiosity, and a genuine interest in the investment management industry.
You will gain exposure to exclusive mandates with some of the most respected investment firms in the market and build relationships with top-performing investors. This is an outstanding opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in executive search in the City.
What You'll Be Doing
You will work closely with senior consultants and the founder to:
- Support end-to-end execution on live, high-value search mandates
- Research markets, map talent, and build candidate pipelines
- Engage with candidates, helping guide them through interview processes
- Prepare market reports and insights for clients
- Develop your own network in our core sectors (macro, credit, private markets)
- Learn to manage client relationships and eventually run your own searches
Who This Role is For
- Someone with ~12 months of experience in recruitment or executive search (especially in financial services, but not essential)
- A driven, proactive individual
- Someone who is comfortable speaking with senior professionals and keen to learn how investment firms operate
- Excellent communicator, organized, and able to juggle multiple projects
- Someone looking for career in a collaborative, high-performing environment
Why Join Laz Partners?
- Hands-on mentorship from senior team members and founder
- Structured training on financial markets, asset classes, and our specialist verticals
- Access to a strong client base, exclusive mandates, and senior-level roles
- Transparent progression path to Consultant/Senior Associate
- Opportunity to build deep knowledge and a high-quality personal network in the investment space
Benefits
- 25 days holiday
- Company pension scheme
- Comprehensive private health insurance
- Cycle to work scheme
- Access to Perks at Work (retail & lifestyle discounts)
