Contract Temporary (31st August 2027)

Hours: 32.50 hours per week

Salary: NJC Grade D SCP7-11 £26,403 - £28,142 per annum, pro rata

Closing Date: 9th July 2026 12.00 Noon

We are looking to appoint an experienced Specialist Support Assistant to work with pupils with special educational needs in EYFS/KS1 or KS2.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide support through a bespoke curriculum alongside an EHCP.
  • Support generally in class as well as working with selected individuals and groups of pupils.

The successful candidate will have a passionate commitment to ensuring that every child makes academic progress, will be highly effective, flexible, positive and a reliable team player.

Qualifications:

  • Proven skills in Literacy and Numeracy with a minimum of 5 GCSEs including Maths and English.
  • Background of working with children aged 4‑11 and children with additional needs.

Other Details:

  • This post is temporary to 31st August 2027.
  • The position will commence as soon as possible, to be mutually agreed with the successful candidate.

Pre‑employment Checks:

  • Satisfactory two‑year reference history, DBS check, medical clearance, proof of essential qualifications and proof of legal working status in accordance with the Asylum and Immigration Act 1996.
