Role Description

  • Prepare for work to be accomplished by studying SOP’s, Work Order details, machine setup instructions, drawings and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
  • Setting up machine if trained to do so. Creating and modifying CNC programs if authorised.
  • Machine rods, cylinders, or components, checking for any damage to material that could affect the final product before use.
  • Verify final product quality by inspection to the appropriate procedures and frequency. Obtain First off pass off to the prevailing policy.
  • Notifying Supervision if any defects are found.
  • Keep equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; calling for repairs where necessary.
  • Complete batch cards, inspection records, record preventative maintenance, training and other record keeping as required.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • To work on your own initiative and understand the relevant SOPs/Quality Instructions/Risk Assessments/COSSH data and manufacturing processes.
  • Fulfil training deemed necessary to allow efficient performance of duties and assist in your personal development.
  • Follow all health and safety procedures and policies. Take a responsible approach to health, safety and environmental risks in relation to your own job role and to control the risks or report them to management as appropriate.
