Job Description
Layrd Design, a dynamic and innovative commercial interior design studio, is searching for a talented Interior Designer to join our growing team. This is a unique opportunity to create inspiring and high-performing interiors for leading brands in the leisure and hotel sector.
This is a business-to-business role where you will collaborate with exciting commercial clients to bring their visions to life. From initial concept to on-site delivery, you will be fully immersed in shaping the future of leisure design.
The Role:
As a Leisure Interior Designer, you will take a hands-on approach to projects, from developing initial mood boards and concept designs to overseeing on-site installations. This is a full-time position offering a blend of in-studio collaboration and remote work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support design projects for our leisure and hotel clients from concept to completion.
- Manage design team working on the leisure and hotel projects under your leadership.
- Develop and present compelling mood boards, concept designs, and detailed drawings.
- Collaborate closely with clients, suppliers, and contractors to ensure the design vision is realised.
- Specify and source FF&E and materials tailored to each project's unique requirements.
- Attend and lead site meetings, managing on-site trades to ensure timely and on-budget delivery.
What You'll Bring:
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in interior design, with a strong portfolio in the leisure or hotel sector.
- Proficiency in CAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Strong technical skills in space planning, construction detailing, and FF&E specification.
- Ability and experience in leading a team
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Confidence in managing on-site trades and suppliers.
