Layrd Design is expanding, and we’re looking for two versatile Marketing Executives to join our dynamic and rapidly growing commercial interior design company based in Cambridge. As part of the Layrd Group, a forward-thinking collective comprising five distinct brands: Layrd Design, Designers Touch, Studio Layrd, Sketch & Social and Future Spaces - you’ll support the full marketing function, driving brand visibility, lead generation, analysing data and writing compelling content for a fast-growing collection of design-focused companies. This is a full-time position offering a blend of in-studio collaboration and remote work. Reporting to the Head of Operations, you will play a crucial role in establishing the Layrd Group as thought leaders in the UK market.
You will manage our digital presence, copywriting and underlying technology stack to support the design and sales teams across all brands. If you’re an experienced marketer with an eye for design, a passion for brand building, and a proactive mindset, this role offers the opportunity to make a visible impact in a studio with big ambitions.
A typical week might include:
- Plan, schedule, and manage organic and paid campaigns across relevant digital channels.
- Create engaging social media content, including accurate, insight‑led caption copy across five brands and four platforms.
- Optimise the website for SEO, user experience, keyword performance and search visibility.
- Write, format and upload high-quality content, including case studies, blogs, PR, newsletters, award submissions, website copy and thought‑leadership pieces.
- Monitor, analyse and report on performance metrics, providing data‑driven recommendations and monthly analytics summaries.
- Manage and maintain the CRM system as the marketing ‘super‑user’, ensuring accurate data, segmentation, lead capture and automation workflows.
- Ensure all lead capture tools operate efficiently and that high‑quality data is passed to the sales function.
- Gather insights, photography and updates from internal teams - including designers and the founder - to support storytelling and project‑focused content.
- Produce marketing materials such as brochures, pitch decks, email campaigns, branded collateral and presentation templates.
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Analytically minded and results‑driven, confident working with KPIs such as traffic, conversions and cost per lead.
- Hands‑on with digital tools and platforms, able to set up, run and optimise campaigns independently.
- A strong storyteller with excellent writing and editing skills, capable of turning complex design or technical detail into clear, persuasive content across all channels.
- Detail‑oriented and methodical, with a strong focus on data accuracy, tracking and high‑quality reporting.
- Brand‑aware with a solid understanding of visual identity, design principles and how copy and graphics work together.
- Collaborative and commercially minded, working effectively with marketing, sales, designers and leadership.
- Proactive, organised and comfortable managing multiple deadlines, content streams and stakeholders.
- Curious about digital behaviour, the built environment and how design shapes user experience.
- Skilled in graphic design and asset creation to support high‑impact marketing output.
To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
- Proven experience (2+ years) in B2B marketing, including hands‑on experience with SEO, data analytics, managing multiple social media accounts and strong graphic design skills.
- Proficiency with a major CRM or marketing automation platform (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce, Pardot) and proven copywriting and editing skills with high attention to detail.
Core competencies:
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate it into clear recommendations.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills within a fast‑paced environment.
- The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a small, busy marketing team.
The perks:
- A competitive salary, commensurate with experience.
- Flexible working: A blend of studio and remote work.
- Time off: 28 days of annual leave (including public holidays).
- Wellbeing: On‑site gym membership and private health cover.
- Growth: Training, personal development opportunities and access to design and marketing shows and events.
- Culture: A social and collaborative team with regular lunches and events at exciting venues.
- The essentials: A pension scheme, free parking and all the tech you need.
