We are recruiting for an Export Operations Clerk for an independent freight forwarder who specialises in air freight, focused on delivering reliable and efficient logistics solutions.
The Role
The Air Freight Operations Coordinator will manage export shipments from booking through to final delivery. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who understands air freight operations in depth and takes full ownership of their work.
Key Responsibilities
- End-to-end coordination of air freight export shipments
- Booking freight with airlines and overseas agents
- Preparing and checking air freight documentation, including:
- HAWB / MAWB
- Commercial invoices
- Packing lists
- Dangerous Goods (where applicable)
Requirements
- Proven experience in air freight operations within a freight forwarding environment
- Strong knowledge of air export processes
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Reliable and able to take ownership of tasks
- Confident communicator with both customers and suppliers
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Experience with e-Customs systems
- Familiarity with cargo forwarder / freight management software
- Experience handling AOG, pharmaceutical, or time-critical freight
- Dangerous Goods certification or working knowledge
