This is a hands-on position responsible for preparing precision-engineered components and assembling them into system elements used in advanced hydraulic systems. The role requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work with high-value components to strict quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and assemble components using hand, power, and precision tools
- Interpret technical drawings and follow work instructions
- Ensure all parts meet required quality standards; identify and report defects
- Handle components safely in line with health & safety regulations
- Maintain tools, equipment, and 5S workplace standards
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and support team activities
- Contribute to continuous improvement, including work instructions and risk assessments
- Follow all company procedures and safety requirements
- Essential: Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Strong mechanical assembly skills (hydraulics knowledge desirable)
- Experience with hand, power, and precision tools
- High attention to detail and problem-solving ability
- Good hand–eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in precision engineering or similar environment
- Experience assembling high-value, low-volume components
- Apprenticeship or equivalent practical background (preferred)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organisational and prioritisation skills
- Reliable, punctual, and quality-focused
- Professional communication with colleagues and customers
- Computer literacy for basic communication and documentation
